New Delhi: DishTV has announced the launch of a new channel by the Government of India on its DTH platform. A 24×7 TV channel called Digishala will focus on educating Indian citizens about various digital payment modes.
Digishala is a free-to-air channel that aims to introduce the use of cashless, paperless and faceless digital payment transactions to rural and semi-urban people across various villages and small towns.
Introduced by Shri Ravishankar Prasad, honourable Minister of Electronics & IT & Shri P.P. Choudhary, MoS, Electronics & IT, the channel is placed on DishTV’s LCN number 2036.
In the wake of demonetization where people are struggling for cash, Government of India has taken the responsibility to educate people about digital payments.
For the record, DishTV is direct-to-home (DTH) service provider and is part of Zee Group.
