Mumbai: Dainik Bhaskar Wins Silver For Bhaskarmay Simhastha Campaign And Bronze For Swatantra Vichaar Campaign At Outdoor Asia Convention Awards Mumbai, August 08, 2017 DB Corp Limited (DBCL), India’s largest print media company and home to flagship newspapers Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar, Dainik Divya Marathi and Saurashtra Samachar today announced that the company has won two awards in the 13th edition of the coveted Outdoor Asia Convention (OAC) Awards event held on 29th July in Mumbai. Dainik Bhaskar was awarded a Silver medal for outdoor activation done for the Bhaskarmay Simhastha campaign. No bronze or gold award was given in this category. The company was also awarded a Bronze medal in the most prestigious ‘Campaign of the Year’ category for its Swatantra Vichaar campaign implemented in Maharashtra.
The Swatantra Vichaar campaign launched in Maharashtra, was based on the idea that only Divya Marathi an unbiased and objective newspaper can empower its readers to think in an independent manner. The six month long integrated campaign with the tag line ‘Swatantra Padho Swatantra Socho’ (Read Independent, Think Independent) was amplified through print ads, edit notes and OOH [out of home] media. During Simhastha – world’s largest congregation held once in 12 years, Dainik Bhaskar organized the biggest ever Maha Arti (prayer ceremony) and Maha Yatra (mass procession). This was implemented a month prior to Simhastha in Ujjain that generated very high visibility and was able to make very strong and personal bonds with its readers. This was followed by a two-month long comprehensive on ground-visibility activation.
