Patna: A new, free-to-air Bhojpuri general entertainment channel went on air on 15thAugust, 2017. Branded Bhojpuri Dhamaka- DISHUM, the channel is being launched by Mumbai based Dishum Broadcasting Pvt Ltd. The channel will be available on major DTH & cable operators such as Tata Sky, Airtel, Den UP, SiteMaurya, Dash Digital &other local MSOs. Dishum Channel will be made available to more than 65 million C&S homes, say industry sources.
Launched with an objective to transform the Bhojpuri Entertainment landscape, Dishum is all set to enthrall viewers in UP & Bihar/Jharkhand with an impressive slate of fiction & non-fiction programming as well Exclusive Blockbuster Movie Premieres.
The channel’s vibrant colorfulindentsare the expression of what the channel stands for and seamlessly ties back to its tagline “Jeeye Ke Bhojpuriya Andaaz”.
The programming strategy is based on research of what viewers want at different times. There are different programming slots, such as devotional, bhakti, mythological, drama, movies & music.
