Chennai : As per the third week ratings of the South GECs, Tamil Nadu and AP market witnessed a surge in ratings, while Kerala and Karnataka market witnessed a decline.
In Tamil Nadu market Sun TV saw the ratings surging to 267,930 GVTs in week 3 from 222,491 last week. Vijay TV’s ratings increased to 101,455 GVTs this week from 69,690 recorded in week 2. Kalaignar TV saw a significant rise in its ratings. Its ratings increased to 33,979 GVTs in week 3 from 19,211 in the last week. Zee Tamil saw its ratings increase to 25,035 GVTs this week from last week’s 20,401 GVTs. Polimer’s ratings dropped to 23,655 GVTs from 24,257 in week 2. Raj TV saw its ratings increase to 21,739 GVTs from 17,317 last week. Jaya TV recorded a major rise in its ratings. Its ratings increased to 21,216 GVTs this week 3 from 13,795 in week 2.
In AP market, Gemini TV grabbed the top spot with significant rise in its ratings. The channel recorded 121,600 GVTs in week 3 from 84,598 GVTs in week 2. MAA TV moved down to No.2 position despite increase in ratings to 112,406 GVTs this week from 108,964 recorded in week 2, At No. 3 Zee Telugu increased to 107,621 GVTs in week 3 from 92,295 in week 2, while ETV recorded 90,722 GVTs in week 3 from 88,340 in the previous week.
In Karnataka Market Udaya TV stood on top comfortably with its ratings increase to 77421 GVTs in week 3 from 74,468 in week 2. ETV Kannada stood at No. 2 and its ratings dipped to 50,505 GVTs from previous week’s 56,703. Similarly, Suvarna’s ratings also declined to 50,208 GVTs in week 3 from 51,070 in week 2. Zee Kannada’s ratings also saw a decline. The channel recorded 33,965 GVTs in week 3 from 34,042 GVTs in week 2. Kasturi saw its ratings rise to 8681 GVTs this week from 7728 in week 2.
In the Kerala market, market topper Asianet’s ratings declined to 55,404 GVTs this week from 57,364 last week. Mazhavil Manorama stood at No. 2 position with 16735 GVTs against 18204 GVTs in previous week and followed by Surya TV at No. 3 despite its ratings going up marginally to 15,689 GVTs this week from 14,944 a week earlier. Kairali TV’s ratings increased to 5388 GVTs this week from 4245 last week. Amrita TV’s ratings increased to 3402 GVTs in week 3 from 3067 in week 2. On the other hand, the ratings of Asianet Plus dipped to 5034 GVTs in week 3 from 6039 in week 2.
